Project Description

Tessa Wolfe Murray

White earthenware slab-built and slip-cast vessels, wall pieces and ceramic jewellery

Fired to 1140 degrees centigrade, decorated with slips, glazes and incised lines on surfaces that have been textured, impressed or smoke-fired. Inspiration for the surface decoration comes from drawing and photographing whilst travelling through land and seascapes and urban decay. Museum artefacts influence the shapes and contours.
