My wheel-thrown porcelain vessels are all about shape and pattern. Lines and mark-making are strong themes in my current work, and I keep finding endless possibilities in simple line combinations. Naïve, spontaneous pencil strokes and simple, lively patterns in oxide pastels create movement and direction. Both the shape and the surface are showing their handmade processes that made them.
